This Spring, three of Northern Ireland’s most hotly contested Miss Northern Ireland heats will see entertainment levels move up a notch as each of the events will also feature a stylish Appletiser StyleFIX fashion show to complement the pageant element to the evening. Appletiser StyleFIX has established itself right across the island of Ireland as a touring showcase of what’s hot in fashion each season as the events bring fresh style and grooming ideas to thousands of females on the tour.
Experts from Michele International Hair – also sponsors of Miss Northern Ireland – will join fashion and make up experts Cathy Martin and Paddy McGurgan, both on stage and behind the scenes, to give the professional models from the Alison Campbell model agency the finishing touches. And the contestants at the events are sure to learn a thing or two before going on stage to sell themselves to the judges.
Kieran McGuigan from Cafe Vaudeville said: “The Belfast heat for Miss Northern Ireland, which we host here at Cafe Vaudeville, is one of the busiest nights in our Spring calendar of events. And by adding the extra glamour of an Appletiser fashion show and style event, we’re really upping the ante on entertainment for those who come along to watch and support friends or family in the competition.”
Brian Morris from Sense Nightclub in Cookstown added: “We’re really looking forward to making a huge night out of the Miss Northern Ireland heat and the Appletiser StyleFIX show here in Cookstown, and we’re hoping our winner will go on to do really well in the competition and maybe we’ll see her in shows for Appletiser StyleFIX in the future!”
Michael McLaughlin from Bellini’s is delighted to be welcoming StyleFIX to Newry: “We hosted a StyleFIX event in November and it was very well received by locals and gave Newry retailers a great platform to showcase their fashions. Hosting it as part of our Miss Northern Ireland heat is the perfect icing on the cake for an already fantastic evening”.
Miss Northern Ireland director Alison Campbell said she is delighted to add the fashion show element to the heats saying: “Professional fashion shows with some of Northern Ireland’s top models will be a great learning tool for those who are entering the competition. They can watch how the models – many of whom are previous contestants and winners – are groomed and how they carry themselves. We’re really looking forward to meeting all of the contestants at all of the heats across the country and these shows will add an extra sprinkle of glamour and fun to the events.”
The events take place in Cafe Vaudeville, Belfast on Thursday 07 April, in Sense Nightclub, Cookstown on Thursday 28 April and in Bellini’s, Newry on Thursday 26 May.
