H&M’s eco-friendly Conscious Collection is set to get an injection of red carpet glamour in time for spring. Not only will the capsule collection include it’s usual sweet dresses and floral prints, there will also be dressier options available this season, as part of the new Exclusive Glamour Conscious Collection.
For fashion lovers, the red carpet has become every bit as exciting as the catwalk, with the gowns spotted on celebrities now creating their very own trends.
As part of its Conscious initiative, H&M has created an exclusive collection of red carpet ready looks, all of which are made from sustainable materials such as organic cotton and hemp as well as recycled polyester. this new collection shows the diversity of what is possible in ‘green fashion’, with a selection of outfits in different styles reflecting the variety of today’s red carpet fashion.
Though it is not yet available to buy, pieces from the collection have already been spotted on the red carpet. Amanda Seyfried wore the blue tuxedo blazer and shorts at a London premiere, Oscar nominee Viola David has been seen in the hot pink sleeveless top and shirt and Kristin Davis wore the apple green embroidered dress to a Vanity Fair event. Michelle Williams wore a custom made H&M gold draped organic cotton bodice with a satin backed crepe trumpet skirt at this year’s BAFTA ceremony in London. A top and skirt inspired by Michelle’s exclusive gown will be available in selected H&M stores when the Exclusive Conscious collection is launched.
The Exclusive Conscious collection will be available from April 12 in around 100 stores H&M worldwide, as well as selected looks on-line at hm.com
