When I was in my early teens (and a massive spice girls fan) my favourite shoes were my platform trainers. Purchased from Barrats for about £25, I thought that they were the best and most wonderful shoes I would ever own.

Then for a few years, trainers with heels became a huge faux pas, as people added them to the ‘what was I thinking’ section of their wardrobe history. Now though, the tide has turned and trainers with a concealed heel have become hugely sought after, selling out wherever they appear.

This resurgence in popularity is down to Isabel Marant’s Bekett sneakers, which have been embraced by bloggers, FROW regulars, magazine editors and everyone in between.

River Island do great versions of these shoes, for those of you who don’t want to join a waiting list/empty out your savings to buy the real thing!
